Follow the white light...

Wow!!! So this is what it's like to be on the other side. I've been cooped up inside that warm wet womb for close to 9 months and during the last month things were getting rather cramped.

I don't think my mum would have been able to put up with my squirming around. Trust me there was hardly any room to spin an animal that makes meow meow. That's my first moment with my mum, Ada. I think she's pretty pleased that I'm white and don't have freckles.

I tried to go out the normal way but my head was too big or there was something wrong with my mum, I am, after all the first child so the bits down there weren't, I guess 'loose' and I think the part that I didn't go out the traditional way pleased both my mum and dad, I'm sure I heard a sigh of relief from dad somewhere in Kuwait.

So in the end the doctor said that it was probably best that I go 'caesar salad' or something like that. And it wasn't entirely easy getting out but the doc seemed to know a thing or two.

And...so that was that, I screamed my lungs out trying to acclimatise to this new thing called air, flushing the lungs out of all the fluid in them. They heard me on the ground floor they say, but hey I had to clear the airways. The flash was a little too harsh for my eyes. 9months of darkness and then all of a sudden paparazzi.

I've put up some pictures of my birth, the photographer didn't really get my good angle but I'm sure you'll get the gist of what a newborn baby looks like after being born. Yeah I was hell messy, blood and amniotic fluid and god knows what else. But they cleaned me up good enough. It was strange to be wearing clothes. I still prefer being au naturale but the airconditioning in the hospital made it quite 'nipply' hehehe

You can see the first video taken of me at the bottom, my grandma Dolly and my uncle Apollo (or in Tagalog Lola Dolly and Tito Polo). From what I understood they were happy that I had all the right bits and pieces. They were slightly shocked to see a ghostly white baby but I hear that whiteness is a good trait here. Big shoutout to Dra. (Doktora) CedeƱo, who did a FANTASTIC job making sure I came out breathing. Love your work Doc :)

I'll try to update my blog as much as possible. I'm rather busy these days, what with sleeping and eating and then sleeping and then eating with the occasional trip to the bathroom, I can't find much time in between to go online.

Well. thanks so much for stumbling/googling on to my blog and I so hope that you can drop by more often to see how I'm doing. I can get used to sleeping and eating all day. How much harder could life be, right?

Anyway, I'm tired from all this typing, I'm to sleep for another 20hrs. Yawn.

Sweet dreams to me :)
